I had no idea bands like this made thousands of dollars per show. $3,000! That's crazy.

at least they deserve it, that's always nice. also, don't forget money gets spent on touring too.

That's great for them man they deserve it. But just to keep in perspective...
Wilco gets between 10 and 15 thousand and I saw on tv that if you want Elton John or JLo to play at a private party it'll cost you 1mil$. (NO EXAGGERATION!!)

A local venue in town and I tried to get them here. We had them booked for about a week or so, but then they chose the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor instead, which makes sense. The venue couldn't have afforded it anyway. I think they deserve more, when you think about splitting it between five people, gas prices, places to stay, ect.

But doesnt the touring agent get a cut as well as the record company (depending who set up the tour)?
