View Full Version : Going to the Aug. 6 Orange Twin show from Asheville?

I'll be attending the EtherMusic theremin festival in Asheville, NC beginning Thursday (see http://www.ethermusic2005.com/), but was thinking of driving to Athens for the OTC/TD show. I'll have a rental car but would love to have company for the three hour drive (plus save on parking!). Anyone in or near Asheville going? I've had all my shots and can provide references upon request. ;)

I would like to work things out since friends just cancelled this thing on me, but unless I met you somewhere on 85 Charlotte is just far enough to be out of the way. Unfotunately, there are not enough folk here to easily find other fans interested in heading that way.

Yeah, unless you can get yourself to Greenville or Spartanburg, I don't see it happening. Thanks though!

I'd be leaving Asheville mid-afternoon Saturday and would need to return Saturday night after the show. Do you think your friend in Asheville would be interested in pooling with me?

It wouldn't work b/c half the reason for us to go would be able to enjoy as much of day as possible on the land and to camp out so we'd be leaving early and staying until Sunday morning

My roommate would really like to catch a ride with you. I've got to go down earlier than he can but he lives in Asheville and his car is broken and would probably be willing to help pay or give you a place to stay in asheville. reply if your offer still stands and we'll figure other things out.

Great!!! I'm all set for a place to stay in Asheville, but I'd love to give your friend a ride. Maybe just split the cost of gas & tolls? Have him email me today if possible at jonb at wobblymusic dot com and we'll work it out.
