The fakers put "It's easy to sleep when you're dead on the page". Sounds like some good fakers to me.

damn why'd they have to do it. all i do is make fun of myspaces all day cause that's what bored jelous people do. i see people fall like flies into the vortex that is myspace. i even saw my own brother sucked into it's cruel tube of annoyance. oh well much love to dottie and of montreal :-\ but i wish it didn't have to be this way.

Wow--so contraversial! I had no idea. Just seemed like a nice place to post tourdates ;)
Seriously, we wanted to have an "official" myspace (no offense to the fakers, who do a fine job) so that we could make sure that all the information was accurate. Plus I'm often bored and jealous.

i dislike myspace for personal dating/finding friend purposes, but the band myspaces are great. They are free, easy to manage, many people discover you through other people's myspace, and you can upload songs very easily. You can also search for shows around your area and i will tell you a bunch of things!

Myspace, to me, is like crack cocaine....
not in the addicted way
but in the way that if my friends wanna do it, its cool
but I'll steer clear thank ya very much

bored and jelous is the way to be dottie. plus looking at other people's my spaces is fun, playing 6 degrees of separation and the only one to do that is to have one of your own...

here is the reason i think myspaces are annoying:
www.myspace.com/runawayhemingway
maybe someone should have asked me before putting my face on one of these. I'm the one that doesn't look like he feels like playing bass sporting my mates of state shirt at a backyard, DIY, smelling, punk show.

I don't get the point of myspace, but at least they are good for tour dates. I made an account just for that purpose.

i moved semi recently and i am able to keep in contact with alot more people than i ever would have without myspace. that is good about myspace. the bad thing about it is that FOX just bought it, and now we will all be friendsters or whatever you call em with bill o'rielly.

I've never even heard of myspace. What is it? I got Dottie's to work finally, but I still don't get how it works. Can you tell that we just got the internet after not having it for the past 2 years=)

Dottie, you know what you guys should do? You get a total of 4 songs to upload, if I'm not mistaken. You should use three to promote your released work, probably from the most recent album, and then use the 4th one to stream unreleased and alternate versions of songs, rotating them every so often. That would be a wonderful treat. :)

That's a rad idea!! RIght now we're a bit busy getting ready for tour and stuff, but that's something I'll keep in mind for when we get home.

I've tried purevolume myself. You only get 3 songs instead of four (unless you pay $$$) and the sound quality of the streamed audio is not as good as the quality of the myspace streams.

yeah you get downloads on myspace. and i think the sound is better than on pure volume too.
here here, rare OM tunes would be sweeeet! 'course if you could download em rather than just temporarily streaming them that'd be even better ;). awesome idea.

actually, I'm blogging (is that really a verb?) on my own space. We'll do a little tour diary on the OM space once we hit the road. If anyone is actually interested in my personal wee ramblings, they can be found at: http://www.myspace.com/8789826
