Okay, I'm starting to get that this E6 thing is a collective of bands. But why do you have a forum devoted to gerbils? I like gerbils as much as the next guy (they're adorable), but I don't think they make music. Can animals make music or is this just a big joke that I'm not in on?
Someone enlighten me.

Group Takes 550 Gerbils From Small House
LONDON - An animal welfare group confiscated 550 gerbils that had been kept in stacked containers in a small house in southern England, and asked the British public for help in caring for the animals.
The gerbils were found in a variety of cages and makeshift containers, including badly ventilated wine boxes, stacked to heights of more than 6 feet throughout the one-bedroom home in Portsmouth, according to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
"The hallway was full, and there were about 35 containers in the bathroom alone," group inspector Mick Garrity said. "The male and female gerbils had not been separated, so they were continuing to just breed and breed."
Many of the animals were in poor condition and needed veterinary attention.
The owners of the house agreed Tuesday to hand the animals over to the animal welfare group, which took them to a nearby animal shelter in Fareham.
"Many of the females will be pregnant, so it is possible that we will see the number of animals double, creating even more of a problem," shelter manager Mike Ward said. "With so many gerbils to care for, our staff have been stretched to the limit."
The shelter has called in volunteers, and was appealing to the public for help in caring for the animals.
"We are running short of suitable temporary accommodation and food for these animals, so we are hoping the public will be able to help," he said.
"Many of these animals have come to us in a poor state and will need ongoing veterinary attention," he said. "Others are in good condition," however, and could go to new homes "as soon as possible."

I used to own around 80-100+ guinea pigs in my backyard as a child. I started with 4, but they kept breeding. They were kept in a pen built out of wood and plastic chicken-wiry type mesh.(Once a g-pig got its head stuck in one of the holes) My stepfather had built small houses with vinyl siding and shingles on the roof and everything it was quite adorable. When you would go in the backyard and start breaking up a head of lettuce for them they would all run to the side of their pen and start squeaking. It all ended in tragedy though. My stepbrother left the gate open and two dogs got back there and ripped the population down to about 20 or so. My original one survived and I kept it when I moved, but eventually had to give it up.

No one has explained why you have a thread devoted to gerbils. Until I get an explanation, I'm gonna believe you guys are a bunch of perverted gerbil fuckers.

I actually enjoyed reading this post, because I'm at work with nothing to do. I read a similar story about and old man who bought two rabbits and they just kept breeding and he ended up having to call in some help because his house became over ran with rabbits.

Hello GrossDaddy! What a grand and exciting return.
I had hamsters once, but they were unsociable and boring. They smelled wretchedly foul. They escaped a good half dozen times causing all sorts of chaotic adventures and spoiled couches.
I have learned the valuable lesson of making sure to get pets with some personality and at least a wee speck of intelligence. Birds and dogs and giraffes.

holy shit. why didn't you just get them fixed? the originals, i mean. i can't even imagine how much it would cost paying for surgery for 100 gpigs. they'd run out of operating room. like, they'd have to operate on ceilings or something. lol.

I was sent to school that day with a bologna sandwich and a heavy heart.
