Hi guys
I thought the European residents might appreciate some news of the Essex Green on this side of the pond during August. Selected live dates are as follows:
Wed 6th - STOCKHOLM, Kulturhuset
Thurs 7th - EMMABODA FESTIVAL
Sat 9th - GOTEBORG, Bommens Salonger
Mon 11th - STAVANGER, Checkpoint Charlie
Wed 13th - OSLO, Cafe Mono
Fri 15th - LONDON, The Water Rats Theatre
The current plan is for the band to return in January for more shows so if they're not playing near you then please don't despair!
'The Long Goodbye' is doing nicely over here in Europe. This is what a few people have said about it.
"Absolutely fantastic. The Essex Green deliver sweet psyche-pop in spades." -
MOJO
"'The Long Goodbye' packs in 12 languorous love songs." - THE FACE
"Country hymns that carry the lonely twang of big mountains and empty roads." -
NME
"'The Long Goodbye' is a sunfried bevy of power pop strokes and city rock
dashes. Capturing the spirit of the late psychedelic era, there's no better way
to spend the summer solstice than in the company of the Essex Green." - LOGO
"The greatest Sunday morning record I've ever heard. Just like a Jimmy Webb
record, it has a haunting quality that will make you return to it again and
again." - SOUNDSXP.COM
"Lazily luscious melodies from an epic pop band." - SUNDAY MAIL
"Essex Green employ some of the finest handclaps for harmonies in recent
memories. In a parallel universe, there are 13 perverse number ones on this
record. In this one, there are 13 tiny reasons for your heart to beat that
little bit faster." - CARELESS TALK COSTS LIVES
So now you know!
Best,
Steven
