Hey guys, here is the story:

We were working on that cover of "A Day in the Life" for a project that ended up not happening. The version heard here was just the work that we put into in one day and then abandoned before it was even close to being finished. My vocal was a scratch that I recorded at around 5 am (as if you can't tell!). Shortly afterward, through the magic of the internet, this track fell into the wrong hands. It was then posted on the web and the rest is "free download" history...

So to answer your question, no, it wasn't supposed to be heard by the public and yes, I agree that it's pretty awful! :P
This is why it was never officially released and also why we never do covers!!!

I didn't think it was that bad... Actually I thought it was quite a valiant effort at covering a song probably no one else would even try to cover...
