who saw they rereleased: sunshine superman, mellow yellow, hurdy gurdy man and barabajagal on cd with a buttload of bonus tracks?
I certainly did.
this is the best thing to happen to me in a while.

I saw him live when I was, like 16 (that's 19 years ago now!), and I got an autographed picture! I don't know where it is now...

that is all I know of.
I saw him last summer at joes pub in the greenwich village
it was to die for.
I got him to autograph my open road lp.
he's a nice man.

I think he did sunshine superman, season of the witch, riki tiki tavi, universal soldier, colors, wear your love like heaven, a bunch of stuff of beat cafe (which isn't that bad) he did some psychedelic dance thing where he played the flute, and a few others.
his backup band was a jazz quartet, I believe. It sounded amazing, actually.
Between songs, he told stories from his life that almost linked the songs together.
It was incredible.
candy john carr was playing bongos, too.
oh
and he played mellow yellow.

cool thanks man. i think beat cafe is pretty great myself. one or two of the songs are from the 60s that he hadn't put on any other albums before. it's his best record since the early-mid 70s i'd say.
