these boards, especially the nmh forum (even moreso in the way earlier days) actually have (or had) a pretty bad rep. it has definitely calmed down some, but the petty squabbling over minutae, inability to take a joke, and ridiculous eruptions at the smallest perceived insults were pretty bad back in the day. the board seems to have actually started to develop a sense of humor about itself.

Actually I think now this board has become a little more squabble-y (if that's a word)... I think it used to be a lot friendlier. just my opinion...

I definitley agree, although there is still quite a bit of loveliness lurking around.

what i have noticed, is it is really hard to judge tone. where, it seems to me, that even the nicest of posts for the most part end up sounding rather hurtful.

i haven't been there since they built the dragster, but i think i've ridden everything else. my favorite is probably that indoor one, i forget what it's called. no one knows about it, so there's never a line.

That's pretty much the only one I like too. I'm scared of roller coasters. They are big machines designed to make you think you're going to die.

the indoor cedar point coaster is called disaster transport haha. top thrill dragster is the scariest thing i've ever ridden. hypecity, did you tell anyone about it that worked there? thats really scary. i'm glad you're okay.
