Okay, I'm trying again, and from what I can tell it's going to be a HUGE photo. I don't know how to make it small because it's not from my computer. Of Montreal is coming back to the Blind Pig 8/31, and Sufjan is coming to Detroit in september. Is there anything interesting I'm missing?

Also, the E6 board tour is rolling into Toledo on thursday 8/4.
Charlie's White Folliage, Jame's Oliver Edna and my own The Homeville Circle will be turning it out in The Underground. Five bands all together, I think. You should come down! It will be a hootenany the proportions of which have rarely been equaled in human history.

ok, so john is of indian descent. as in india.
he grew up in ruston. he's a born and bread american.
his last name, fernandes, comes from spanish (or is it portuguese?)
missionaries who traveled to india a few or many generations ago.
john's family converted and their name was changed to fernandes.

so there ya go. and yes, unfortunately, john does get
harrassed for people thinking he's middle eastern.
right after 9/11, people said/did many horribles things towards him.
i won't go into detail, but it makes me so angry just thinking about it!
