Okay, gathering up and taking pictures of my e6 collection has inspired me to start up the radio station again. I'm sure some members here remember the old www.e6radio.com website. Or maybe they have found memories of the orangetwin radio station.

Well, this new station has nothing to do with either of these entities. I'm just a guy with a spare computer, a home DSL connection, and a love of e6 related music. I have digitized most of my collection and bring it to work everyday in my ipod, but now I will stream those same MP3s via http://e6radio.no-ip.org.

I have no idea how popular or unpopular this may be, so I am limiting the bitrate and number of concurrent connections to see how my DSL line can handle it. I'll adjust it after a couple days after I see what everyone thinks.

A word about me. I've self diagnosed myself with ADD, so this may not last too long. I got tons of projects thrown about my apartment that never get finished. If you notice the station is down, send me a U2U and tell me to get my ass in gear and fix it.

If anyone has any issues with the station, just let me know and I'll take it down. Copywrite issues and whatnot.

The playlist is located here, however it is randomized so you never know whats going to come up next.

I have over 1000 songs totaling over 53 hours of solid e6 music.
Enjoy. Again, the URL is http://e6radio.no-ip.org

I'll put this link right next to 'GBV Radio' in my Favorites :)

awesome!

oh yeah--I'm listening right now!

I think Largeheartedboy has a bigger budget than I do, but I'll try.

Is anyone else having issues with the connection dropping? I am able to listen at work, and looking at the log, someone from Amsterdam listened for 45 minutes one day.

It looks like most people connect for 30seconds to 2 minutes. Are you dropping because you don't want to listen to the song, or is the connection to the station not working?

If you have anything you want to hear on the station, I setup a FTP server.

e6upload.no-ip.org
username: e6radio
password: majororgan

This server is upload only.

I have dug up some other songs to add to the playlist. Expect some Dressy Bessy, some more live shows, Jeff Mangum's WMFU show and various other things later this week. And please send anything else you think would fit well on the playlist.

Thanks

We are online with new songs, including Christmas in Stereo, the 1st HHBTM comp, the gmail account songs, and more.

Official site: http://www.angelfire.com/band2/e6radio/

If someone has a place to host this small HTML file, let me know. Angelfire has popups and ads and other nasties.

Thanks

Not sure whats up with the server. I have a flight in 3 hours, so I will have to look at it late sunday. You can zip them all up and use www.yousendit.com or wait till I get back. Thanks for the uploads.

Some of the stuff yr uploading I already have, just haven't ripped. Look carefully at my posts here (http://www.e6townhall.com/viewthread.php?tid=3630) and save some of your time.

Alright, have to finish packing. Have a goodweekend

Edit: Issues with no-ip.com have been resolved. You can reach the station via its normal link

I notice someone from Amsterdam or France is spending a lot of time tuning in. Being from TX this amazes me, so can you come forward so I can thank you for listening?

I will be in both France and the Netherlands in July. Assuming you are of age, would you like to grab a drink? I will be in Paris and Amsterdam, the typical tourist traps.
