Morrissey cover?!

So, I went to the record store today and bought Sunlandic Twins. I've had the album ever since it was leaked, but I tend to think that it's important to support the bands and local record stores.

Either way, after I pulled off the wrapper, I looked at the track listings for the bonus EP. I saw the last track said "Everyday Feels Like Sunday."

I just about walked into oncomming traffic, melted, or died. I really like Morrissey. I really like Morrissey covers, despite them usually being bad. I hoped, with all my heart, that this was a cover of "Everyday is like Sunday." I put the cd in my walkman and listened.

It was the exact opposite of the Morrissey song. Good song, though. I enjoyed it, but it wasnt the Morrissey song. I'm pretty sure Kevin Barnes got some sort of inspiration from the Morrissey song. Maybe he heard it and didnt agree and this was his rebuttal.

P.S. Sorry if you dont like Morrissey and this story bugged you.

morrissey is heavenly and colin meloys little cover ep is one of the best things ever.

Yeah, the Colin Meloy covers were the best Morrissey covers that I've ever heard.

I love Kevin Barnes so much, but I just though he would be too happy for a Morrissey cover...

I'm a big Smiths fan. I'm not as big a fan of Morrissey's solo stuff.

Morrissey solo I enjoy very much - "Bona Drag" is really very totally great.
