requests?

Never tried a request at an of Montreal show, nor have I heard anyone else try a request. Do they take requests? If I were to request My Favorite Boxer or Nicki Lighthouse, would there be a chance that I would get one? Would they be more likely to play one than the other? Or should I just sit back (standing) and enjoy the show?

i'm pretty sure i heard someone yelling for my favorite boxer last night at the show. i've made requests before the setlist was written out but they haven't exactly worked out before. i remember once asking for 'kid without claws' on the aldhils tour and it sounded like they were gonna do it despite kevin saying it was fairly complicated to play live but i think b/c jamey wasn't feeling well that night or something it didn't materialize.

as for this tour i can tell you that BP said there really are only certain songs they're likely to play. i think with the more dancey direction it makes sense though. some songs off the top of my head that might fit with a little luck:

my what a strange day with a swede (i've definately requested this before) - would be a killer encore song

old people in the cemetary (ditto) - not sure it'd fit but i don't care anyhow

some songs i don't know that they've ever done live that'd i'd be overjoyed to see worked up sometime:

They did Penelope on the Satanic Panic tour, so that's probably possible. Kevin told me then that they had played Rock Critics on the previous tour, but I don't think it's one they've practiced with the new lineup.

EDIT: I was really hoping they'd play it at SxSW. It would have been appropriate.
