View Full Version : tall dwarfs
has anybody heard the latest tall dwarfs album? it has two songs co written by jeff and laura! sounds great
chris knox's band, from new zealand. the album is called sky above the mud below and it's very good. one of the songs was actually a new jeff song, then chris wrote another part, i think. it's different but good
also, for those who don't remember, jeff played with chris in new zealand in 2001. i've looked everywhere for that bootleg, but nobody has it, which is incredibly sad.

it's released by carrot top records:

my stereo has a 'vocal remover' mode and it's amazing to hear just jeff's backing vocals. he wrote that melody, that was the original song.
i can make an mp3 of that if you guys want

If someone wants to send me the mp3s if they burn them, I can put the songs up on my art site so anyone could listen <g>
I did a search on Kazaa and couldn't come up with anything :(

Sorry for taking so long time, but apparently could my E-mail not send files over 3 mb, so I couldn't send them over the mail. Instead I uploaded them on my friend's ftp, so you can download them from there.
Possum Born (http://4d53.dynup.net/~turumbar/possumborn.mp3) and Over the Waves (http://4d53.dynup.net/~turumbar/overthewaves.mp3).
I hope this works now :)

Oh. And there's a plugin for WinAmp Classic (2.91 or something) that is a vocal remover. ^_^ Download it, set the bar to 85% or so, and you can hear Jeff warble without the major singing in the way! Gorgeous. :D
Just need to do a search on 'vocal remover' and 'winamp' on Google or something to find the plugin.
oh, that's great, i just got the plugin, it's better quality than the mp3 i made.
thanks!

;) It doesn't save over the mp3 permanently, it's just a plugin so that one can listen to Jeff's beauuutiful voice! <purr>

wow, I tested that vocal remover and it's absolutely wonderful! :o
I almost started to cry when I heard Jeff's voice that clearly in the end of the song (or the middle or whatever). It' so darn great! :)
Thanks a load for the tip! :)
