So I introduced a friend of mine to Aeroplane (which to me is the best album in the history of whatever you can think of) about a year ago. Fast forward a couple of months. She is now as obsessed with it as I am, and has decided that she'd like to do a bit of performance art based upon the album. We both work with a theatre company here in town (that'd be Houston, Texas), and have been lucky enough to have the support of many in our community.

Basically what she and I are planning is a 35-minute dance piece using ITAOTS in its entirety as the soundtrack. In addition to this, we're making video clips to accompany the performance. We asked for and recieved permission from Jeff to undertake this whole thing, and I found out today that we're most likely going to put it on the first two weeks of June 2004.

Just thought I'd share... We'd love to have input from other fans, and hopefully some of you are in the area and would be able to see the show and share the experience with us.

Ditto, if I was anywhere near Texas I might have stopped by seeing as In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is my favorite album as well.

I also think that is a great idea. Something about great art makes you want to make more great art. VIVA LA INSPIRACION! VIVA SPANGLISH TOO!
