Anyone interested in meeting up before the show. I'm going alone and would rather not.
Jefferoo? Others?

where should we meet?
Anytime?
Teddy's?
Sea?
Wasabi?
Thai Thai?
Kitchen of Bengal? (or the other Indian joint)
Definitely not Fabiannes... unless we all bring hammers, paint-guns and cow shit with us.
I'm not too loaded (cash-wise). But it could be a "bizarre celebration".

teddys (N.8 and Berry), how bout 6:30ish? whoever shows up first can reseve a table for 8 people, or so (my group is at least 4 or 5)?
Under the name PENELOPE.
Sound good?
They have good burgers.
They also have cheese stuffed shrimp, wrapped in bacon.

Sounds good. I'll U2U my cell #. I have someone who is coming with me now..so if you flake out I won't be stranded..still, I'd like to meet up just for the sake of meeting someone who has similar interests.

!
Sorry, too much new stuff.
they played maybe 3 songs from before SPITA.
you are an airlplane, head in a pillowcase, and I forgot what else.
someone threw soda or something with ice in it (at kevin) and got kicked out.
Fugk that guy.
I wish there were more older (pre-electro) songs.
The covers were dopeass, though.
I got the vinyl.
The etching is sweet.
I tried to get a pic to post, but I can't light it right to do it justice.

I saw Nina in the crowd. She looks like shes about 6 months along or so.
good for her! she's still goin out there to rock.
I told her I thought she should sing more on the next record.
She told me she would tell kevin.
In some way, I hope that that one little suggestion could spring into an action that results in the best album, ever made.
fingers are crossed.

Hello, Jefferoo.
This is Nina. Just wanted to let you know how nice it was to hear that someone liked that song! Oh, and Im not pregnant anymore... Alabee was born December 29th, no offense though, this mama needs some exercice!

nina, i don't know if you've read many of the posts on this board but 'keep sending me black fireworks' is a favorite amongst pretty much everyone here - such a fun, beautiful song!
take care and enjoy dancing/exercising at the shows :P

My first of Montreal show; I had a fabulous time (probably quite evident from my ceaseless booty-shaking). I was the kid at the front in the red trench coat who was smiling broadly. Sorry if I scared anyone off... I was in a staunchly good mood. I agree that it would have been nice to have less of the recent stuff, but what was performed was still near perfect.
Well, it was memorable. And I guess I'm glad that we were the best audience they have had... .evvveerrr.

i feel terrible.
I'm sorry for thinking you were pregnant. I was on drugs.
(Its harnk's fault)
It was great to see you again!
As always.
I'm such a douchebag.

Nina, I'm sorry... again.
That song is definitely the best song off the new album.
No question.
It might be the best Of Montreal song, yet. It has gone back and forth as one of my all time faves.
No bullshit.
Good work.
don't let kevin kick my ass the next time round!
though I would certainly deserve it.
btw
tell kevin ( I was too big of a pussy to talk to him) I badly want to someday make a video for the band. Live action. I went to NYU film school, so I can make it pretty. And check out my www (even though it is lame).

yeah, that was definately one of the best shows. i'm pretty sure i saw you. I didn't that many people were dancing, it was kind of dissapointing. I was sort of off to the side by dottie. i was kind of afraid to talk to kevin too, but i did get to chat with bp for a bit.

I was also at the showm right of front infront of Jamie's drums.
Fwching, I think I may have been standing right next to you, I remember a red trench coat. I was the one smiling ear to ear with joy and I apologize if i ruined the show for you with my non-stop very loud and very off key singing.

I definitely remember you, playonsoftpipes. Were you to the left of me or behind?
It's been a while, but the show was still the highlight of my past couple months. That can either be interpreted as 1.) I don't really go out that often, if I can help it or 2.) I really love OM that much.

If i remember correctly I was just to the left of you.
Ahhhhh, all the little details are slowly comming back...

Sorry for continuing to ask details, but are you the Tower records employee? I'm still not completely sure, because on either side of me, there was a male in a brown jacket.
(still trying to commit every detail of that night to memory)
playonsoftpipes
05-12-2005, 04:34 PM
nope, I was not the tower records employee. I live over in a very small town in CT (aprox 9,000 people) near Middletown (where weslyan is). I am however, a camp conselor in the summer for ages 4-9 and run an after school progam in the school year for the same kids.

05-12-2005, 08:47 PM
yes, I took about 180 pictures and shot a few very short low quality video clips on my digital camera. If any one here is interested, I could pick out the best and send them to you or post them on the Gmail account if anyone is willing to show me how.
