Hi Hilarie!

I think it's cool that you check in on the messageboard now and then to answer questions from the fans! I love all your work with the Apples (my favourite is Questions and Answers from Her Wallpaper Reverie), and now The High Water Marks. I just got the CD, and it sounds great! I'm looking forward to your show in Trondheim!

I've got a couple of questions for you:

What bands are you in to at the moment?

What do you think the next Apples In Stereo album will sound like? Will you be getting horns, organs etc. like on Discovery... or the more punk/power pop sound of Velocity Of Sound?

Perhaps my favourite song of all time would be Cornelius' Chapter 8 - Seashore And Horizon. I can listen to it 30 times in a row without tiring. I find it insanely catchy! How did this song come about?

Hey Pål!
I'm glad that you like the CD. I am really looking forward to Norway... I love it there so much. I would really like to move there one day, and probably will at some point!!!
Right now, I'm just in the apples and the Hwm's.
The next Apples album is going to be very different than the last, and all the others for that matter. We like to change things up a bit. I don't want to say too much because I like secrets, but one hint is MORE psychedelic. That is all I'll say :)
We went to Japan to record with Cornelius. The apples were on his label Trattoria in Japan, and he asked us to come out and collaborate. He did a few different collaborations for that album. It was really fun though, and the studio in Tokyo was AMAZING!!
I hope I answered all of your questions!
God helg!
mvh,
Hilarie

Thanks for answering Hilarie. I'm very much looking forward to the HWM show, and the new Apples record! Harnk: If you didn't know, the Cornelius-Apples collaboration is from 1997 or 98. If you like The Apples In Stereo(and I guess you do), and some quality 60's flavoured indie-pop, I suggest you get hold of it!

And the whole album is pretty phantasmagorical. Hilarie, see you in Manchester!
