Is anyone doing anything fun and creative for this pseudo-holiday? I refuse to buy any merchandise for the occasion, we've decided to create gifts instead of buying them. If only I could make it to see the Mirah show my V day would be complete...anyone going to cool shows?

I will be listening to the Magnetic Fields and eating lots of chocolate. Alone.

I bought my girlfriend a My Bloody Valentine record. No real plans. Dinner probably. I wanted to go bowling but she shot that idea down.:P

How could anyone shoot down bowling on Valentines? That's just cruel..

I bought Ms. Narcosa a birthday card reading "Wife" on the front, tore the inset out that detailed this and that about birthdays, and wrote:
"I'm always good to words,
But the words aren't good to me"
I think tonight will consist of fancy cheese cut with a knife dipped into rose oil, wine, and reruns of "Taxi".

I fear the people I expected to be seeing won't be coming over due to sicknesses and foggy conditions. I guess tonight will be spent alone in my room listening to alot of New Order, Smiths, and Felt. Dissapointing but not suprising.

Good god, why should such conditions separate friends? That is so sad..I shall drink a toast to you!

I dunked my wife in a pool of turkey reduction. We both took an oath under Clempt and will continue our love with the upmost care and a firm and equal appreciation for begonias and All in The Family dialogue. I do a swell Meathead, though my looks are almost identical to Archie, only I'm a bit more handsome and I don't drink Yellow X beer. I prefer Grolsch. Meet me in the sck drawer. I have a grand notion of Pickle Tennis and hot-trot tube sock festivities. I'll be the onion clad in October.

i worked, then bought some good barley wine, then came home to a house of two dogs (who, as always, were uproariously happy to greet me--not the master but "that guy who feeds us"), and then started watching the empty soldiers line up on the coffee table. all with excessive NMH throughout. not too bad in contrast to other years. sometimes it is quite nice to have no drama, no obligation, etc.
:o
:o
but a little ;) would have been welcome:)

Me and my girlfriend had our friends, who both had just been dumped by ungrateful vixens, over for some Kaia and noodles, then we became hilariously intoxicated.

Well it is a stupid idea anyway, why should there be some socially mandated day of love, what about all the other days in the year? Shouldn't we make lovely gestures as often as possible, for no reason at all?
