Wondering if anyone has any cheap (but operable) 4-track recorders they're looking to get rid of. I'm not looking to spend more than 50 bucks. PM me. Thanks! :D

I think my husband does - I'll ask him when he comes to meet me for lunch. What is PM?

Ah, okay. I know about the U2U. I'm not hip to internet terms;). I will tell him to send you a U2U if he is selling his four track. I know it would be less than $50.

If somebody could maybe help me out, I suppose that'd be nice, as well. But then, I live over here in Englande, so it might be harder, though...

i guess i'll take my spot at third in line for a cheap but operable 4 track. this is something i've been wanting to get around to buying for a while. i think my two boomboxes are about to break.

i wouldn't know the first thing to do with any sort of recording device anyway, but it'd be fun to learn how. and i'd love to be able to record without having to switch around cassette tapes dozens of times. speaking of recording i'm really frustrated right now as i'm listening to old tapes of songs i've written in the past. there's one in particular that i really love (not to toot my own horn or anything) but i can't for the life of me figure out how i played it. it's like someone else was playing, it's all completely lost on me. i've got a horrible ear for music, i can't even figure out my own stuff.

no of course not to brag. im just saying its weird seeing 4 track prices so high, and thinking you can get them for free, and then remembering you cant.

to clear up my part: i was just saying that i wanted a 4track and then i made a hilarious joke about how bigblacksmoke was bragging about something when i knew damn well he wasn't bragging, and then i said that i suck at music but still like and want to record my tunes. crystal clear now, eh?

4-track less than $50? that'll be tough. i got mine just a few weeks ago on ebay, and i just managed to get it under $60. i was really surprised that even old, rinky-dinky recorders still go for fairly big prices. i figured that with digital recorders, tape recorders would be cheap because people would want better equipment (and digital stuff's getting cheaper all the time). but you'd basically have to find somebody you know that already has one for sale in order to find a low low price. it's a real bummer, i know. i had hoped to spend less money myself.
