BP has this posted on his site, but I can't find any other info about it really. I'm thinking about taking a trip to Athens on the 20th and would probably rather see Shiitake Knights over Drive By Truckers, but I don't know what to expect.
Would anyone be able to give me a quick run-down on them? I may go ahead and post in the general 'Elephant 6' section as well.

what to expect? hmmm... i wish we had some MP3's for you.
ok... first thing. i play bass. no singing. i think
everybody else sings but me! :)
it's neil golden (plays with lona, ex-glands, ex-elf power)
sean sawyer (murder beach, breakheartbeat drummer)
jeff griggs (masters of the hemisphere, je suis france)
zach michaels (a big nobody... joking!)
and me...
hmm... musically... it's kinda indie jazz pop or something.
there's some musical leaps. we've covered miles davis
from 'live evil.' covered love doing burt bacharach.
we're not a rock band, but occasionally use some distortion.
i play overly busy bass lines and take way too many chances. :)
we're playing with col. knowledge and the lickety splits who
are very good. kinda like early hyperactive elvis costello
mixed with frenzied 60's garage soul.
our show will be way cheaper than the truckers. ;)
but ya know the truckers show will be great i'm sure too.
centromatic is opening and i've heard amazing things about them.
my good friend and hopefully future collaborator, the pistol,
plays pedal steel for them.
heck go see both shows. you can just walk back and forth.
get your cheap drinks at the lunch paper. :)
