So when is Of Montreal coming to Montreal? (and Toronto which is closer to where I live!!). I think it would be very appropriate and I'd go!

I won't believe it. Canadians don't ban our friends! And even if we did, getting across the border is very easy.

Well, a few years ago they were turned back at the border. If the old board were still around you could read all the accounts of the incident. Anyway, border security has been getting tighter and tighter in recent years, for obvious reasons. A pop band could, you know, hide explosives in their tambourines.

yeah, all that banned stuff. i think it was dottie who explained on our poor deceased old board something about liscences and loads of icky paperwork or something like that....

ive found on my trips through that silly border that it all really depends on how lonely and grumpy and smelly the officer at the border is. mostly on how smelly. so, of montreal shouldnt give up on canada! its very cold here, we need some happy tunes. try try again.

Sounds like everyone is taking the Candaian security people much too seriously and giving up too soon!

i happened to be at the montreal show that got cancelled, many sad faces, but when you try to enter illegally, you get banned. end of story.

oh they just tell people theyre banned to scare 'em. i know tons of people (well, not tons, theyre pretty skinny people), who have done something illegal at the border and have been "banned", and then simply waited for the guards shift change and tried again with the next guy and gotten in. its not like they keep a big list of pop bands that arnt allowed in.

dottie told me she got harassed by the customs officers just for taking a connecting flight through toronto. they dont write down band names, they write down individuals names within their computers.

word up, i mean, how can they get their computers in their igloos? canadians cant have computers...
