Back in the autumn of 2003 three guys had a dream of releasing 14 split 7 inches* featuring 28 of the worlds premier POP!&roll bands. Unfortunately the fundamental flaw in this plan was no one seemed to own turntables anymore. Only six of the proposed ever got released & the club was forced to fold in the winter of 2005. The club received great publicity over it's short life & gave a heap of great exposure for some top up & coming artists.
so to celebrate the demise of this analogue entity the fine purveyors of tunes, low transit industries brings you the "singles club split 7 inch collective" compilation. check out this for a laundry list of the worlds best POP!&roll bands...

* A split 7 inch for the benefit of those not in the "know" is a vinyl record that is 7 inches in
diameter & plays (on a turntable [if not sure consult your local stereo component retailer]) music at a speed of 45
revolutions per minute. Each of the sides of these "singles" holds the recorded music of an artist (selected by the
lovely folks at Low Transit HQ) from anywhere in this big wonderful world.
