I agree with you about those gender-nonspecific lyrics, livbowl. She's playing the pronoun game. We were not fooled: the audience tonight, as you might expect, was pretty queer.

What was the Seattle show like? There are lots of good bands from WA, what other shows do you go to?

i wasn't there for the show back on the starlit tour, which is part of why i want to see her here so much.

i used to go to shows all the time but now i mostly go to my favorites, the ones i would be stupid not to go to. i think all the best WA bands are barely known by anyone.. no one even goes to their shows much here. the shows i mostly go to and are always excited about are the microphones, woelv, ted leo, built to spill, black heart procession, m83, album leaf, mike johnson, julie doiron, saturday looks good to me, john atkins, do make say think, damien jurado, brent arnold & the spheres, of montreal, the new year, sonic youth, shearwater, okkervil river, karate, starflyer 59.. i guess thats most of them.. there are a few bands i wish would tour that never do.. so many of the best ones never do or never can.
pretty soon low and pedro the lion are playing, i think that will be cool.. and ida are coming here in april for the first time since i lived here. plus ted leo and m83 are coming back soon.
i dont think there's anyone i'd rather see than a lovers concert though, except for maybe bands that broke up a long time ago. maybe trembling blue stars, thats the only other band i want to see so much. i haven't seen them in years.
what are the favorite shows you've been to?

i saw erase errata i think the day after my birthday in 2002. it was good & maybe they always do but this time they wore these funny striped outfits, they each looked like they were wearing 10 tubetops sewn together to make an entire bodysuit.

do you know what the first team dresch 7" is? i have been trying to find out for years. i'm trying to figure out the one that has scott plouf on it. ive always just wanted to find out the name and a picture of it but it seems like it doesnt even really exist.
