i've got to say that as much as people around here obsess about jeff mangum and where he is, what he's doing and will he ever do anything (i'm not saying it's bad), i'm way more intrigued by the idea of otc getting back together. they've both got great projects going now and all but sheesh. wouldn't that be awesome. they could. why not. ah well. like i say these are just nerdy desires from a nerdy fan. and it could be these kind of dynamics (no jeff, broken otc) that make everything more enjoyable or interesting anyway. i just can't help wondering about tony: where he is, what he's doing, who's he with, what's he thinking, is he thinking of me...

Yeah, as much as I like NMH, I'd rather hear a new OTC record than a NMH. If you asked me a year ago though I'd be on the other side.

I mean, I love OTC, but I've never really connected with the whole albums, instead preferring individual cuts like Jumping Fences and Love Athena. Either bands putting out a new album would be real nice.

that there's a sickness, and dr. glen's here to tell you there's a cure. listen to each otc album more and more, and after a while you'll wonder what the hell you were listening to before. seriously, man. ah, er, nicholas.

yeah call me hi has got it right. You listen to black foliage more than 10 times, you cant listen to anything else for too long. It happens to me. I'll leave that cd in my car for a week, and let it repeat 50 times, and every time you hear it, you pick up on something new, and then you memorize every sound, every harmony, noise, whatever, its sweet.

Damn I probably sound like an idiot.

yes TBD and will cullen hart are making music in their own bands, but they are nowhere near as good as OTC was. Them together=best thing ever. I mean circulatory system is close, and sunshine fix is fun, but neither will ever match the olivia tremor control, or anything close to black foliage.

A new NMH release would be awkward. Opinion would be polarised to the extent where people would just sit at message boards all day complaining at eachother and throwing insults because somebody thought it was better than Aeroplane, which would eventually lead to the downfall of western civilisation, ushering in a new age of barbarism, where apes would rule, enslaving the savage and inferior humans.

wow, you hit the categories quite well, cause it went from crazy or acoustic on the bootlegs, to fuzzy, to folky, so itd have to be different or terrible.
