so i just saw brian wilson perform heroes and villains on the jay leno show the other night (i didn't watch the rest of the leno show) and i was thinking how similar it sounded to otc's do you like worms do you dig worms (i think that's what it's called). i haven't been able to listen to it since the brian wilson performance but remembered that it's listed on the e6 website as being off of a beach boys tribute album. so i guess i don't know where i'm going with this other than to say that both songs are awesome. anyone else have anything to add. brian wilson really seemed like he was in a trance. i liked it. oh, and does anybody have that beach boys tribute album? smiley pet, is it?

Do You Like Worms (Do You Dig Worms) is one of the original Smile tracks. It's incorporated onto the new Smile album under a different name, and it's also used in Heroes and Villains.
I saw Brian Wilson perform Smile live in Madison on Friday night...great experience!

Oh man! HOW GOOD WAS MADISON!? Seriously, that was the greatest musical experience of my life. Yeah on the new album Do You Dig Worms is under the name Roll Plymouth Rock. The part in it from Heroes and Villains is a repeating motif from the first movement of SMiLE called "Bicycle Rider." It's the best album ever, oh man!

Yeah man, it's a cover. The song is called "Do You Like Worms?" but was listed at one time with "Dig" instead of "Like". On the new SMiLE he just released last week, the song is retitled as "Roll Plymouth Rock." Just as mentioned before, there are many re-occuring musical themese throughout SMiLE, and one of them is that "Bicycle Rider" passage, used in "Heroes and Villaind" as you saw it...
