you can get all of those songs on soulseek. I was curious about track lists b/c there seem to be so many different versions of these albums. Thanx defgav for the info.

defgav - do you have any advice for someone who wants to start trading but has nothing to start from? It's hard to start because no one (no one who's respectible anyway) sells stuff like that and all the respectible traders don't sell anything.

hmm. i started collecting bootlegs in the early 90s. pre-CDR, so i bought "import" bootleg CDs and the occasional live video. then once the internet came along, i traded tapes with people.. and later CDRs. by the time i got into NMH, i had a decent list of boots put together, so it wasn't too hard to find trades.
So anyways.. i'm not sure what advice I could give for someone getting started. Sometimes traders offer 2:1 trades (where you'd just send them blank cdrs and postage). Don't people sometimes sell stuff like this on eBay? I'd hate to advocate that, though. And of course, there's always the mp3 option, right? soulseek or kazaa or whatever is the cool thing at the moment.
One good way to get people to want to trade with you is to record shows yourself. Spend a couple hundred or whatever on a minidisc recorder, or DAT if you're wealthy, or even a decent (around $99) cassette recorder (that's what i use), or maybe a camcorder if you're into that. Record a few good shows, then you're on your way.
I'm a big proponent of recording shows. the mp3 revolution has made a lot of people lazy.. just waiting for cool stuff to be given to them.. but sometimes you gotta give back.
i'm so corny, huh? sorry. :)
