I am SO with you about becoming broke in the Fall--new Dressy Bessy, Raveonettes, and the Superchunk B-sides/outtakes collection. And if all that wasn't enough already...the new GUIDED BY VOICES album AND later in the Fall the new Guided By Voices BOX SET!!!!!

yes, I'm pretty darn excited about the upcoming months :D

OOOO! I had not yet heard about the new GBV Box Set! Pollard never stops, does he?

It is so easy to fall behind buying GBV stuff! But that means there is always something new to listen to!

Yeah, the box set--it'll be called Hardcore UFOs. It is a 5 CD+DVD set. The discs will shape up like this:

1--the out of print Forever Since Breakfast EP
1--various Matador B-sides, singles, EP tracks
1--unreleased songs
1--live recordings
1--"Best of" GBV disc

DVD includes:
--expanded version of the Watch Me Jumpstart documentary (with footage from around 1995/1996)
--all of the Guided By Voices videos

it should be a mammoth collection, many are waiting with baited breath..:)
