backyard festival near athens

hey friends,

it's good to be back in the townhall again. i finally was able to register since sean fixed the code. (thanks sean, and welcome back...sorry to hear about all you've been through)

this post is to let folks know that we're having a backyard festival just north of athens
this saturday the 31st. if anyone's in the area and wants to come check it out, it's going to be a potluck, and a bunch of homemade junction bands will be playing, including:

the orchid pool
bellhouse
green bean go
sugar cookie
eshniner forest
matthew's ghost
the capricorns
green uvula
the sorry sods

festivities begin around 5:00 pm. directions are at http://www.archaeologyfrontier.org
if you're in the area, c'mon out and say hello.

also, a bunch of the above bands are looking for summer house shows in the northeast. i'm going to post a separate post about it in about 2 minutes.

for anyone who's interested, there was some beautiful music going on saturday night. christmas lights hung from fig trees over the foundation of an old wooden shed, and heat lightning occasionally lit up the sky. here's who actually ended up playing...

oh man! this news makes me so happy and so sad all at the same time! i really miss the ol' athens crew. i'd give up something semi-meaningful to me to have been there to see the green bean go! reunion! oh well. and tony: sorry to bother you so much about the box! it is just that i LOVE getting things in the mail SO much, and it has been awhile! although the last thing i did recieve was my tax return, and that was nice and all.
can't wait for the pictures!!!
