Okay, so they didn't really like it ... but I haven't trusted Pitchfork since they gave Pinbacks' Blue Screen Life a 5.4

They also slated I Am Not A Freemdoom. But then, there's no such thing as 'good' or 'bad' music anyway, so why should we listen to somebody who thinks that there is, and they have the right to judge exactly what falls into what category?

Yeah, but I Am Not Freemdoom really is a bad album. Masters of Hemosphere never did anything that was beyond OK. They were inconsequential.

Well, I've had two shots of bad news recently: the delay to the new Circulatory System album - and now this.

On the whole Pitchfork are pretty spot on with their reviews, but I'd like to hear some posts that refute this panning. Any takers?

I like it quite muchly. It's better than Age of The Sun..in spots. Heavy tones of Lennon can be heard around every corner. Not a forward thinking album, but a good one nonetheless

I'm not talking out of my bell-end, Handy. I won all of the MOH albums on a Kindercore Ebay CD lot score...and they're all boring. Very boring. MOR jangle pop.

Not quite. It's more like having a long smelly dog sitting in front of you and not having a nose.

QED!

I guess I am a didot then. Yes, I am a didot.

although pitchfork really didn't seem to like the new LP, they gave pretty good reviews of the Age of the Sun LP

http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/record-reviews/s/sunshine-fix/age-of-the-sun.shtml

they gave it a 7.9, which is pretty darn good. so do we only like pitchfork when they give good reviews to albums we personally like and not like pitchfork when they give bad reviews to albums we like?
