Hi,

http://www.unc.edu/~fiore/Mangum_solo.mov

This is a link to a ten-minute Quicktime video of Jeff Mangum playing solo in Athens in Oct 1997. Songs are Two-Headed Boy (1.5 times), Gardenhead / Leave Me Alone, Naomi and King of Carrot Flowers Pts 1-3. It's about 66 MB so if you have dial-up, it'd be tough.

I can take it down in a few weeks and put up a few others unless bandwidth / intellectual property issues come up.

If someone has server space where they can host a few clips, let me know -- but think fast, because I'm leaving for Eastern Europe in late July and won't be back till January 2004.

I'll also see about putting up an audio show or two. Finally, I reposted the video stills I had on my site a while ago because people keep asking for them and I now have space. They are here: http://www.sadtomato.net/NMH_photoframe.htm

Okay, that's it. E-mail if there are any problems (kristin@sadtomato.net) and I hope you like it.

Kristin

Possibly it could be cut up into song-by-song videos? I have dial-up, so 66mb is a bit much. It would be easier if it was cut down into a song-by-song versions to download if possible.

ok, i can split them up at work on monday, i think. i may have to recapture them etc. i also found a beautiful thing on the UNC servers called Mass Storage. which basically means you can throw mass amounts of crap on there. tee hee.

okay, i have put up the first five songs of the Oct 14, 1997 show as separate files. go here to download them and find out more... http://sadtomato.net/NMH_file.htm. I will take these down in a few weeks and put up the next third, then the final third after that, so get these soon. Also, if you have server space -- if you are in college you probably do, that's where these files are -- please see if you can put some on there. Thanks.

My college took all student webspace away to save money. Hopefully they give us some server space soon because it's expensive to pay for it.

If the files are mpeg 4, you need Quicktime 6.x in order to view them. You can download the latest version at www.apple.com/quicktime

I'm having trouble, though, with the last half of A Baby For Pree/Where You'll Find Me Now. The image gets distorted and the audio disappears. Anyone else having this problem? Maybe I just need to download it again.

Thanks, Kristin, for posting these.

It took me to download an updated version of Quicktime to get them to work, and I had an earlier quicktime 6.x, so if you're having trouble even with quicktime 6.x then try and download a new version!

Brilliant. Hugely appreciated!
