hi. can someone give me an idea of what the high water marks sound like...is Hilary singing? Does they sound like the Apples with Hilary on lead vocals full time? are they experimental in their sound?

I like the two songs I've heard alot. Its Hilary on vocals mostly I think - They don't have the same sound as The Apples in Stereo since its just one member of The Apples in Stereo anyway. I think they sound more indie rock influenced than The Apples in Stereo. Still pop - but not as much so as the Apples in Stereo. Not experimental.

Thanks William. I guess I really just wanted to know if they sounded like Dressy Bessy, in which case I wouldn't buy the album.

Harnk, were you aware that your feet sound like Dressy Bessy?
Listen very very closely.

Yes actually. My feet have also been known to morph into Jethro tull from time to time

Hey Harnk...
Any chance of you recording those feet of yours while in Jethro Tull mode? And which period are we talking about? If they sound anything like "Thick As A Brick", "Aqualung" or the spectacle-losing hare thingy I'd love to get a copy.:o

His feet may take the shape of Jethro Tull, but they remain the sonic embodiment of Dressy Bessy. They taste like unripe kiwi.

Both Hilarie and Per Ole sing lead quite a bit. It's a fun album. Less psychedelic than Apples. More rock than Dressy Bessy.

I agree with deathcabcutie on the sound of the record. It is a great album.
