Saw Beulah in Cincinnati last night. Awesome show!!!! Probably the best concert I've been too since the last time Beulah came to town.

I'm really digging Danny Sullivan as they're drummer. The songs really "groove" live. I've been lucky enough to catch 'em a few times over the years, and the first time, it was on the Heartstrings tour, and it was kinda like a lesser version of the album. Now, they come out and the songs sound huuuuuuge. Maybe a little too professional for some people on this board, but ya know, there's something to be said for that too.

They pulled out some songs I've never seen 'em do live before. "Hey Brother," and "Ballad of the Lonely Argonaut." I almost crapped my pants! The came out and did a 3 song encore and then another 2 song encore and talked about how they love playing Cincinnati.

At one point, Miles grabbed someone from the audience's cell phone and talked to whoever was on it. I think he said their name was A.J. Is that person on the board?

Odd, that is. I saw them in Brooklyn last week and my first impression was how crap the drummer was. he was pounding on his drums like he was in Metallica..and Bill Swan's harmonies were a bit rough. I was mildly dissapointed..but I still love the crap out of Beulah.

See, I don't mind that they "bring the rock," so to speak. I dug the differences from the albums, like there was an extended drum fill that kicked off the full band part of "Land a Man on the Moon." Shit like that is the icing on the cake for me.

Swans vocals were on too. He even sang lead on "Argonaut" and the verses on "Hey Brother." Is that him on the album? It always sounded like Miles to me (???????)

I though Miles sang it on the album. Miles is a weird looking dude btw.
