did anyone else get to experience the joy of kevin barnes breaking it down old-school style? in austin, they did a hip-hop song which (i assume) was an original, with kevin doing some quite impressive moves to the funky beat. just wondering if this was a nightly thing, or just a one-time deal.

the hip-hop tune, unless it changed between new england and austin, was the oldest of old-school "rapper's delight" by the sugarhill gang, although kevin did not rap the most famous verse ("ever went over a friend's house to eat, and the food just ain't no good? / i mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas all mushed and the chicked tastes like wood".... etc. etc.), opting for a lesser-known middle verse, which was very cool!! and dottie ALMOST played the exact same electric piano chords as the original, which was an extra treat...for me it was the most fun part of the whole night. kevin's very original "robotic leg" dance was astounding.

did kevin do the weird "claw hand" thing after the rap in austin?

just when you thought of montreal couldn't get more entertaining...
