Man, somehow on this board gave me both of his CUSA Cd's for nothing. he said they were shit. I just got em' last night and they are flipping good, particularly All Jets Are Ginna Fall Today...I was overwhelmed by my enjoyment, as I wasn't prpeared to like it based on some reviews

Yeah, I know what you mean. Chocolate USA are definitely one of, if not then definitely my fave e6-related band - but they're so incredibly underrated. Smoke Machine is rightly recognised as a classic on AMG, but All Jets Are Gonna Fall Today, which is actually my favourite of the two, never seems to get any recognition. Possibly because it was just basically an album of demos, but who knows...
Well, I think anything involving Julian has to be amazing, which may well have affected my judgement, but there do seem to be plenty of Chocolate USA fans even now, which may serve to back up my claim, I guess...

Where did this notion that "All Jets" is a collection of demos come from? That album is all one piece, recorded at once by the same people in the same place. If it's demos you're after, look for "Connie Chung" and "Andy Warhol."

Sometimes I think they sound better than The Music Tapes.
Both albums are definitely beautiful. All Jets Are Gonna Fall Today makes me want to be a 16 yo girl again. To me it is a a wonderful CONCEPT ALBUM.

at the time i was listening to chocolate, i also loved the band drink me (also on bar none). they are very good!!

They're both still digitally available through emusic and itunes, which would be the way to eventually send some $$ back towards the bands... unlike buying a used CD.

ok ok, not slipknot terrible. more like barenaked ladies terrible. but geez, i don't mean to sound really harsh. to put it in more eloquent terms, as a HUGE music tapes fan, it seemed to me like julian hadn't really found his artistic voice yet, and i didn't think the style of the band really suited him.

i'd like to note that no one in the band is making money off whatever bar none is selling. they do not have the right to sell it digitally, julian found out about it and asked them to stop and they haven't. he isn't the sort to dig up a lawyer so its still going on. if you really want to hear these records, get them used.

i used to have both records, but i lost them! otherwise i would totally share. because they were ohso good. Smoke Machine changed my life, i swear.

Like i said i would just buy these records but i have zero money, i havent worked in 2 years, the little money i make is from gigs i play which arent enough!

dont want to really haha, thats mainly it, just been working on art and music. worked for a while and was miserable and decided to take a break and since then ive written and recorded 5 albums, joined 3 bands which i play drums in and i'm constantly working on music. Pretty much living my life as some of my heros kurt cobain, daniel johnston,nick drake,jeff mangum and will hart did before they started to make a living off their art. Just putting 100 percent of all my energy into it.

i dont think kurt worked at a dentists office, i know he for a few months worked at a hotel cleaning rooms. yes daniel did work at mcdonalds and jeff did volunteer work. But for the most part they all remained unemployed. Plus i dont see what the big deal is, i chose to not work and besides the fact that i dont have as much money as i wish i did i'm having the time of my life just creating music everyday, practicing all the time with my bands and doing what I want to do with my days. Im not trying to start a fight i just dont see what the big deal about work is, i'm only 25 years old i'm young and i'm going to have some fun while i can, i have all my life to pretty much be a slave for someone else
