hello. not here to shamelessly self promote or anything like have seen many times, but there is a tape club for fellows who make music and care to share it with others. uh heres the info.

The twelve sided tape club is about "do it yourself" music/noise because you love it with all of your heart. I am doing it so people can set up a positve network of people who support each other and thier music/noise.

OK here's how it works! All you have to do to be a member is send me a song and 4 dollars for production costs. (tapes, shipping ect.) 4 should be more than fair because I dont sell the comps I just make them for you. Everyone sends in a song monthly and I put them together on a compilation and send them out to all the other tape club members. So you get a compilation with your self and about 10-12 (.....) other people. In the liner notes will be contact info for each contributor so if you like someones contribution you can get in touch with them and find out more. Or if someone likes your contribution they can get in touch with you.
It will be a good way to network with people who share in your passion for making music and noise. Set up shows with one another, arrange split releases, arrange tours, give recording advice, or just kind words of encouragement.
Oh...If you dont get anything sent in for that months compilation its no biggie. We will get you on the next issue. We know recording takes time. (OH DO WE EVER!) You cant just crank em out! So...no deadlines or anything just be on an issue when you can OK?
Oh...please send only one song in at a time. You are more than welcome to be on as many issues as you want but just send them one at a time so I dont have to spend all day fast forwarding through all these tapes with letters saying, "I want the third song on the second side on the comp." Dont get me wrong. I want to hear everything you have made. I just have to pace myself thats all! (CD and Vinyl are exempt from this rule.)
For contact info to be published in the liner notes you can have what ever you want (e-mail, web page, mailing address, phone #) just what ever you want people to know. You can put just a po box if you want or if you want you dont have to have any contact info in the tape at all. But for my own personal mailing list I need an address to sent the comp to. (-chris' words)
It would be neat if when you get the comp you spread it as far as it will go. Make copies give them to everyone ,all your friends, other bands, your mom, just everyone. Let the tape club revolution be heard! But do make copies of the liner notes that go with it. So people know what it is and they can find out more about the people on it. And I dont want this to be only an internet users club. There is so many briliant people out there who never even touch a computer so... tell people outside of the computer world about the tape club so they too can be a part of the revolution. So I guess that's all I have to say right now. so stay tuned and send me your music/noise! I cant wiat to hear it!

If you really just wanna jump on this without further contact, just email me at

hastycolours@hotmail.com
and you can get an address from me. If you wanna discuss it further, then we will converse about it.

freakishboy, that stinks a lot bunch that your thing broke. what kind of machine were you using? im sure itll all work out as the people who are contributing, it should take them some time to acually get to send the stuff otu anyway.

c.s. thats beautiful you want to contribute. makes me happy. perhaps i could add to it and we could make music together though we dont live near eachother.

opopopo you have the funnest name in the world to type. it make sme want to dance. you should still send me music, if it sounds horrid, and no one should hear it, then I clearly should ( for what reason i do not know but you should anyway

:P

hey mang, sorry it's taking long-trying to figure out which song+i'm bad with mail. i know i already asked u something like this on email but, do u prefer weird over poppy or does it not matter?

hey friend, i emailed you but i saying here too. eh, go with weird, but as i explain in letter, i hope and urge you to contribute more than once so you can do the poppy song on the next volume, but which one you choose is up to you.

freakboy crummy tape recorder?!! how old is it? you mentioned it was from a school so im picturing one of those large lay-down-flat tape recording decks with the flip lid and the extending handle and the orange record button. well....make the damn thing work or something. you can maybe find a handheld for cheap. i dont know ive never bought one, though i have one and friends with some, i dont know how much they cost. dont be swayed by those 'pen' recorders that are like 40$ theyre crap. they are tempting to get though. go with tape. NO microcassettes though. heh hah aaahh....

yeah guys get ahold of me though and fill me in on all. (dont forget about the four bucks! ) <smile>

hey! weird it is. it's not a matter of two songs, though. yeah, i can be involved for more than one. there's one i'm thinking of that's maybe 7 minutes, do ya want 'em shorter?

hastycolours

im shootin at a ten minute time limit. ahh.....so go head withyer seven minute one, thats fine. i just hope the amoutn of people who have 'less than, but close to' ten minute songs doesnt accumulate. hah.

could we send you a tape with like 3 songs and say the first one to go on your first cd the second on the second and so on? that way we can only spend 4 dollars rather than 12 or whatever? or is it 4 dollars each time we put something on a cd?

hastycolours

yeah its four bucks each compilation. I have everyone ( or as many as i can) and myself to pitch in on the tape production, and cassettes and shipping since I dont make any money off these tapes---They arent For Sale. they get made and then distributed to the members and other people. as for the four dollar thing, you can send me a tape with three songs and we can do as you mentioned, but you can only pay for the first volume, and then two months later when the second is done, you can pay for it with a 37cent envelope. this would save on sending a packaged song each time, but i would still appreciate a few bucks contributed for each volume that gets made.

Yes, this is now. EMAIL ME.
Ive just started now to receive the songs from members. Its going to take time still (id start doing it now if i could) since it all comes down to the contributers to contribute. hastycolours@hotmail.com to send music for joining tape club. thank you.

There is no deadline at the moment but I may end up setting one, who knows, whatever. the first volume mite not end up being cassette if I get so many people that it wont fit. but WHO KNOWS??!?! ahh hahah.....

yes though send me your stuff. email for address to mail to. do it you should...sorry

It should be brought back again. I haven't seen hastycolours around in awhile, but the idea is good and I would certainly send $4 and songs if it were to be re-organized.

also interested, cause i want to be a musician and don't really know of anyone who's tastes are remotely similar.
i don't think i'd be able to send in any music for the tapes for a long while, but would love to hear what other people are making.

this sounds cool! are you still doing it? I'd like to be a part of it too.
my music isn't very E6y tho...

i don't think it matters what our music sounds like. mine probably won't sound very E6, either. but if we only listened to stuff like E6, we wouldn't get all the influences and our creativity wouldn't be limited. mine will probably sound like the Hidden Cameras, though, cause i listen to lots of that.

words of wisdom, lamer! i'm hesitant to be the manager, though, because i can be very unreliable....
