I can't believe you're making me walk all the way to E Franklin St for a Jack Sprat show tomorrow night. By "all the way", of course, I mean like 5 extra blocks.

The show Friday was great, though that particular venue leaves something to be desired based on location alone (it's in the middle of the Frat/Sorority bar strip in downtown Chapel Hill). The set consisted of a fine mix of old & new songs, plus a couple covers--sound was surprisingly good given the limitations: at one point, Hannah had to bring herself and a mic down off the stage (platform) for singing due to spacial concerns. I believe Randall from Pylon was rockin' the guitar electric, though I'm unsure if this is a new development, as I was way in the back when Pylon/tNSoN came through in Nov.--and also had been drinking a bit, I'm sure--so I didn't get an exact lineup.

I bought a tNSoN shirt, since they were going for $5, trying to get rid of them on account of the name change, and met Ms. Hannah Jones, who upon first conversing seems as lovely a person as you'd expect. Opener Sunking! was some good Kinksian pop + psychedelia, and there was quite a bit of banter as to whether or not the band name was Sunking! or Sun Kings. If I'm remembering correctly, most, including band members, agreed Sun Kings might have been the better choice.

So, it was quite the fun night! Anyone in/near Roanoke and able should head over to Plan 9 tonight.

Yeah it was funny to find ourselves around a bunch of drunk people after that show, but we all enjoyed playing in Chapel Hill. We enjoyed all of our shows for this small tour. Sunking! and the Young Sinclairs were great to hang out with and watch every night. This really felt like a group of shows that will be positively motivating for us when we start recording soon. Thanks for coming out Wilson and providing us with a little bit of gas money. Oh yeah the covers were "Cars" by Gary Numan and "Last Night a DJ Saved my Life" by Indeep
