my parents go nuts over it, but i just can't get into it. though the auditions i'll sometimes watch to humor myself.

they have american idol in canada? like, not their own? because i know many countries have since gone on to produce their own and what not...

yeah, canada has one, but it's no good... in my opinion. at least, i dont watch it at all.
but boy, was brooke white really broken hearted about losing tonight. i liked her in that sweet girl that i knew a long time ago kind of way. neil diamond's been in my head all day. i actually think idol's hilarious and beautiful and ridiculous and i can't ever figure out why i keep watching it, or the others... just kiddin. except that it's because im always right in predicting who gets eliminated and that makes me feel good about myself. because, hey, i just got a new forum and i can bs about whatever i want now.

The problem with idol is song choice. I find that I must hate a majority of popular music because I a) never know the songs b) never like the songs. The Neil Diamond one was great, I agree.

ive had neil diamond in my head all day... damn earworms.
the truth is my wife loves it and i watch it and there are the occassional moments when i think it's amazing, like when chikezie sang 'i've got a woman' and when michael johns sang 'a day in the life' (which is the best beatles song period.) but for the most part, i agree with you about the bad popular music. but when has popular music ever really been good or worth listening to?
raisins are nature's candy and i love them. got some today actually. shino hates them, so i get them all.
i have two babies... well one is 8 years old, julian, and alice is 1 1/2. they are both just like me. he looks like me and she's a weirdo like me.

i like david cook. billy jean was amazing. it reminded me of when tori amos covered 'smells like teen spirit' and i didn't recognize it, but realized how great the lyrics were.
