I would like to know where of Montreal fans stand politically. So, who do you guys hope wins the Presidential Primaries? I know it's a long shot, but I would love to see Ron Paul win.

it's mostly college age people who feel like that have to be republicans because their parents were or are. but at the same time they like to smoke pot, don't give a fuck about religion, and so on. most don't have real jobs. tonight means nothing by the way. obama will be president. you heard it hear first. not saying i'm voting for him.

yeah ron paul sucks. it's a college kid craze because most college kids are completely uninformed when it comes to politics and will believe whatever their facebook friends believe in. kucinich was where it was at if you're going to look at politicians who never really had a chance at winning.

but to answer the original question i think it would be a pretty safe assumption to say that the majority of OM fans are pretty liberal.

Well, Ron Paul would like to overturn Rowe v. Wade and does not believe in gun control. He holds that quaint idea that the Constitution (written by privileged white men, many of whom were slaveholders) is sheer perfection. He likes to use the word "taxes" to scare people because, as we all know, money for roads, education, etc. is just going to fall out of the sky.

Yup, a great candidate indeed.

I'm still looking for a great candidate. I'll probably vote for Kucinich again in the MA primary.

Of Montreal fans are very conservative and homophobic -- always.

And yeah, how about that Ron Paul? Let's definitely disable all federal programs and give all power to the states... I'm sick of being taught evolution in science class already!

Ron Paul? Seriously? He doesn't believe in evolution. I get enough of that crap from my idiotic classmates, I don't need it in a president.

I like both Obama and Edwards, but I really don't like Edward's negative stance on gay marriage so it's probably Obama for me.

I think I've migrated from Kucinich to Obama.
Obama is inspiring.

I wouldn't mind any of the Democratic candidates. Obama with Edwards as VP and Richardson as Sec. of State would be ideal. I'm really getting turned off by the Clintons - Bill has been insinuating that Obama was pro-war because he voted to fund the war. Back on planet Earth, Obama was against the Iraq war from the outset, and the only thing he voted for was funds to give the troops what they needed after they had already been thrown into the pit of hell by Bush and the capitulating Dems. Hillary is the candidate who voted yes on the Iraq war from the start. "I was tricked into voting for the war" doesn't hold much water, either. Most regular citizens, and surely most Senators, knew how phony the case for war was from the start, it was a matter of whether you had the backbone at the time to stand up to it. Hillary proved she didn't, and to try and distort the record now and deliberately misstate facts does not seem like something someone who wants "change in politics" would do.

as a canadian i don't really give two hoots who wins. but obama seems like he actually has a brain, and a brain is a good thing to have if your running the show. not like my prime minister...
