The Little Rock (Arkansas) kids got together and had a night of Of Montreal, in the form of a cover show.

Personal favorites of mine are "Little Rock", "Me and David Amusing Ourselves At Our Parents House On Christmas" and "The Problem with April".

That is pretty horrible (sorry) the covers of "Tim I Wish You Were Born a Girl" is pretty good despite the errors and so is "Suffer For Fashion"

yeah i really don't want to be mean... but that was bad. i liked the second band's intent, but the singer couldn't sing at all. i mean at least be in tune? the first person i could not even handle... was it a joke? i mean come on. to get together and do something like that. and play the problem with april and du og meg worse than my little sister could is just strange. i give the last duden a high five, but that is all.

Patrock... seriously now. Do you remember how easily we could have attacked you for your obnoxious/drunken/shirtless performance of The Party's Crashing Us? It's one thing to criticize someone's performance when they deserve it (so far, this first guy in the video really needs it), but you're just being a little excessive.

Geez, guys. It's just a bunch of amateurs. They're not actually Of Montreal, you realize. Literally kids without musical backgrounds, having fun. Not some "artists" trying to be critqued for their styles and techniques.
And as for hipster band names, I'm really not sure what qualifies as a "hipster band name." I don't think there are very many band names that don't sound idiotic or ridiculous taken out of context. If you think you can do better, than post your shit, and prove it. Put up or shut up, I say. I don't mean that as a threat, more of as a friendly challenge. Post your Of Montreal covers. I have no doubt that they will probably be better than this sorry lot, but still. I'd like to see proof that any of you are in a postion to critque anyone.

I ask, because basically what I'm getting from that is that you're an asshole, and you have no other reason for being an asshole except for the thin veil of the internet.

listen jerkbutt, that was posted on here in hopes that some people would watch it, no? maybe not in hopes, but certainly with some expectation - and it was pitiful. so what do you expect? no one is saying these people are bad people or that they don't like them, but simply responding to the post with their points of view. subjectively, it is flat out bad. you can not deny that. i even said the guy at the end was good, but the rest wasn't. no one is being an asshole besides you... and patrock.

i am glad they have fun together and play music. there is no harm in that, only good. but you could either have what you're getting or a thread with probably zero responses, so who cares? one thing i will say is that patrock is in no position to judge musical talent in any sense of the meaning.

I'm not saying everyone is an asshole. Really, it was Patrock who I think is the asshole. I have no problem with people saying it's bad or good. I said myself it was a sorry lot. I just don't care for people overstepping the bounds of saying something is bad or good, like Patrock did, and getting a false sense of grandeur about it. I suppose I didn't make it clear that my problem was mostly with Patrock in the first place, and it was not my intent to be an asshole to anyone. My intent was to basically just to try to keep things in perspective and to not let people get arrogant about a bunch of kids sucking at Of Montreal covers. I apologize if I did anything other than that.

Yeah me too! I don't know even know a single person other than myself who knows who they are let alone like them.

I've actually tried pushing of montreal on to lots of people, but I only get lukewarm responses. One of my friends is quoted saying "you should play music that is accessible to other people"....The world is really as bad as the cynics say it is...
