i currently live in Connecticut, and im trying to decide where to go to college. i could live in orlando, which would be a great place, but i would have to live with my parents. i could live by myself here in ct, but it also sucks here. i was thinking it would be a great idea to go to university of georgia and live in athens!it seems like such a beautiful town, and everything i could hope for. im a young musician, and from what i hear, its the greatest town for music. i love elephant 6 more then anything; all the musicians, and just the whole idea of it. i would think that athens would be the ideal place to try and create a life like all the e6'ers had and still have. i know alot of people on here live there, is it as great as it seems. should i go to school there? its fine if you just ignore this thread, i really dont mind

Orlando has it's charms, they're just out of the price range of a typical college student. You'll enjoy the "college life" a lot more in Athens.

athens, ga, portland, or, and olympia, wa, are all places i've been that are great places to find what you're looking for. come and stay with someone for a little while before you move to figure out what part of town you want to live in and all that. are you going to be working and schooling or just schooling? are you a freshman? freshman at uga are required to live in the dorms, which means that you'll have to rent practice space or make friends with someone who has a house.

depends on where in ct, i suppose. i'm partial to liking eastern connecticut. williamantic. norwich. new london. northern/western connecticut are the pits.
