They're meant to be played. With the exception of one or two that are immaculate, all my guitars are dinged up. Some pretty bad. It adds charachter.

Yeah, pristine instruments suck. My scratched up guitar and oxidized/acid blackened french horn mouthpiece equal love.

i recorded a song in a bathroom, 2 bathrooms actually, it features the two bathroom's toliets flushing simultaneously through the technology of the four-track tape recorder.
just got released on 7" actually.

I let a friend play my Gibson Thunderbird and he dropped it. This was 14 years ago. The headstock broke. I never recovered.
That was in the basement, though. Not the bathroom.

i got a cheapo fender starter acoustic guitar and im ok with dings and scratches. i actually had a cabinet door fall on mine, it has some stickers from pants (saying the size and such) as well as a blue butterfly.
i have pictures of me recording banjo in the shower, it sounded nice, but i found a way to get a better sound with multiple mikes, one being ambient.
